Country Women's Association

Introduction

Are you concerned about improving the conditions of women and their families, in the city and country? Then why not join the Country Women's Association of New South Wales?

Membership is open to all women living in NSW and ACT. By joining the CWA, you will be part of a powerful organisation which will enable you to improve the world in which you live.

Branch members meet once a month and participate in many different activities, from fundraising, handicrafts and cultural activities to debating current social or environmental issues. Each Branch is unique which allows it to meet the needs specific to its community.

Members receive our bi-monthly journal, “The Country Woman” and, after six months’ membership, are entitled to discounted accommodation at the Residential Club in Potts Point.

Fees

Membership fees are paid through your branch.  The cost of membership for the financial year 1 October 2007 to 30 September 2008 is $28.80 (base fee $27.20 plus charges of $1.60 per person) or a half rate of $15.20 ($13.60 plus $1.60) for new members joining after 31 March 2008.  Renewing or rejoining members pay the full fee.  Some branches also collect additional amounts, so please check with the Secretary.

The cost of membership for the next financial year 1 October 2008 to 30 September 2009 will be $29.95 (base fee of $28.35 plus charges of $1.60 per person).
